Womens Affairs Department Workshop
The National Insurance Company held a workshop for a number of the companys female employees on the political theme referred to in the above-mentioned book entitled (The Role of Women in the Political Process as Candidates and Representatives). The aim was to shed light on the importance of the role of Iraqi women in political life, whether as candidates or representatives. The workshop urged the broad participation of women in these elections and the strengthening of their presence in the political process, given its importance in enhancing their active role in the public life of society. A booklet was distributed to the workshop participants, which included the most prominent recommendations regarding the obstacles that prevent women from participating in the elections and finding solutions to them to raise the rates of participation in the political process.
