The National Insurance Company is participating in the first insurance conference in Iraq, which will be held from September 3-4, 2025, at the Heart of the World Hotel, with the attendance of a select group of experts and specialists in the insurance sector.
The conference opened with the playing of the Iraqi national anthem and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha in memory of the late Professor Abdul Baqi Redha, who had a significant impact on the development of the insurance sector in Iraq. The opening ceremony also included welcoming remarks by:
The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq and the President of the Insurance Bureau, who emphasized the importance of developing the insurance sector to keep pace with economic changes and enhance its role in protecting investments.
The conference sessions included several specialized discussions and debates on:
1- Challenges facing insurance companies in Iraq.
2- Reinsurance - a pillar of stability and expansion in the Iraqi insurance market.
3- Health and disaster insurance.
4- Exploring the types of insurance that are in demand and underutilized.
On the sidelines of the conference, the conference shield was presented to the participants, and the President of the Court honored the Director General of the National Insurance Company, Inas Fouad Najib. The National Insurance Companys participation stems from its pioneering and historic role in the Iraqi market and its constant commitment to keeping pace with global developments in the insurance sector, contributing to the protection of individuals and institutions and promoting economic and social development in the country.
