Participation in the specialized course prepared by the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund. On the regulation and supervision of cyber risks in the financial sector through the participation of the Information Security Unit Officer of the National Insurance Company, Mr. Maitham Abbas Saeed, for the period 11-16/2025/1 in the State of Kuwait. The course reviewed the latest trends in technology adopted by the entities subject to supervision, the evolving threat landscape and its implications for cyber risks and financial stability, as well as identifying the main elements of cyber risk regulations and supervisory approaches and tools; In addition to presenting the main cyber security concepts, covering governance, risk assessment and information exchange, based on international standards. Understand the basics of IT solutions used in financial institutions, the cyber threat landscape, the main characteristics of cyber risks and their place within the framework of enterprise-level risk management. Identify and summarize the main components of cyber risk regulation and the sound approach to cyber risk supervision. Understand the impact of cyber risks on financial stability and obtain ways to enhance the cyber resilience of the financial sector.
